This training is based on understanding trauma and its effects on the body and mind.
It integrates psychological frameworks with Asana, Pranayama, and Yoga nidra meditation to support regulation and awareness.
The focus is on working with patterns over time, through consistent practice.

Bhavna Kothari is a trauma-informed yoga facilitator with a decade of experience teaching yoga and meditation. She has trained over 50 participants, including yoga teachers, mental health professionals, and individuals from diverse backgrounds in a structured trauma-informed approach. Her background includes a Master’s in Psychology, a 500-hour Hatha Yoga certification, and a diploma in Guidance.

This course examines how stress and trauma shape the body’s responses, influencing breathing patterns, physical tension, and behaviour over time.
It brings together structured understanding of the nervous system with guided yoga practices, allowing participants to observe these patterns directly.
The emphasis is on developing clarity in how body and mind interact, and learning practical ways to work with these responses through consistent practice.

Participants receive a 25-hour course completion certificate issued by Nirvighnam.
This training is eligible for Yoga Alliance Continuing Education (YACEP) hours.
